If you missed it this friday, here’s our selection for SUB FM :

We are proud to announce the release of the second EP on our label, “Your Love” by French producer Konga Konga. After having already released two EPs (“Naturalism” on the label B.YRSLF in 2016 and “Emotion” on Bazzerk last year), the co-founder of the Plage Club nights in France continues to spread a music full of feelings and emotions, without forgetting his club appeal.

On tracks like “Behind Your Mask”, “Your Love” and “Rain Rain Rain Riddim”, Konga Konga offers percussive rhythms, strange samples and aerial synth parts to create a perfect blend between Dancehall, Bassline, Jersey Club, Gqom and even uses his own voice in a languid way to offer R&B vibes on the track « You Did Not Come, You Don’t Love Me ».

The rest of the EP includes two interludes and two remixes made by American DJs/producers Maral and Bell Curve, in completely different styles. Bell Curve gives to the track “Behind Your Mask” a faster, more intense spirit with a higher BPM and a Footwork-oriented style, while Maral goes into noise, deconstructed rhythms and kind of Shoegaze saturated reverbs on the remix of “You Did Not Come, You Don’t Love Me”.
